Help Lock Screen Sound Widget?

[esmith818]

Anyone know of a silence widget/app that can run on the initial lock screen? As awesome as this phone is, I miss not being able to slide the unlock bar to the left to silence the phone (great when going into a meeting, church or before bed).

Right now I have to unlock phone, go into Settings>Sound and click the Silent Mode option. That's nowhere near as quick as a slide left on the unlock screen.

Also, for the record, I tried a few silence widgets from the Market and most don't appear to be compatible with ICS -- when I clicked on them, they didn't toggle the sound...

I can cut down the steps for you a bit. although I would also like to slide to silence, here is what I do now.

Slide to unlock
hold power button
select silent mode

maybe a few less steps?

Or slide to unlock press volume rocker and tap the sound icon to vibrate.

Edit: widgetsoid was great for this on my atrix. But doesnt seem to work on nexus. *yet*

Try "Silent Toggle Widget" in the market. Works Perfectly on the Nexus.

Or, download widget locker (note: Haven't tried it on the Nex yet, but used it on past phones). It lets you have the normal slide to unlock + camera, slide to toggle sound/vibrate/silent, plus you can fit another widget on there as well.

This is a fantastic solution that I thought was worth the $2.99 cost. I now have the ICS-style unlock circle with unlock to the right, silence to the left (like it was with the GB slider) and the cameral straight up. Brilliant interface giving me the best of both worlds (OSes)!

I just tried that, you can do it straight from the lockscreen.
