Is there a way to have the phone go directly to the new text from the notification on the lock screen? I am using the stock SMS.

Any suggestions? I'm not looking for any heavy SMS apps. Just something simple that will allow me to quickly go to a new text from the lock screen. Not really a fan of Handcent or Chomp. GOsms seems decent.

Try SMS Screen WakeUp

If you tap the pop up message it should take you directly to messages.

GoSMS has the full text popup after you unlock the phone.
