I'm wondering if there is a way to have a security lock screen as well as a swipe lock screen.
On my previous phone, a MyTouch 4G, I had a pattern lock set to lock after 5 minutes. If the screen turned off (because of timeout or hitting the power button), and I turned it back on within the 5 minutes, I would see the "slide to unlock" screen. If I turned it on after the 5 minutes, I would see both the aforementioned screen and the pattern lock screen.
On my current phone (a Galaxy s3), as well as my tablet (a Nexus 7), when I set a pattern lock (or any other type of security lock, for that matter), the phone will immediately go to where I was last on my phone if I turn it on under the lock screen time limit. This is not too much of an issue with the tablet, but since the phone has a large, easily hittable button on the front that can turn it back one, it often causes me to accidentally do a bunch of unwanted stuff on my phone.
I would prefer that the lock screen of my current phone work the same as my previous phone. Am I missing something? Maybe that was a feature of the HTC interface that does not exists on other interfaces (Samsung's and Google's)?

But I also think it's a feature of some launchers, Lot's to choose from though. Hit the play store and look at some of the descriptions and reviews.
