Help Locked Bookmarks in Gingerbread

Anyone figure out how to remove the locked bookmarks on gingerbread? (google, verizon, and picasa)

Stock OTA/Stock browser.

probably require the apk for the browser to be modified, and I don't know how that's done (or if I'm even correct)
 
You have to be rooted to do this... if you want I can move this thread over to the root section so you can get some better answers.
 
Very nice, just downloaded it, removed them, then removed the app since I probably wouldn't use it anymore. :D

Yes, you are.

The way default browser bookmarks work is:

1) After you visit a page, it shows up in history.
2) If you tap the star next to it, it becomes a bookmark.
3) If you tap the star again, it gets deleted from the bookmarks.

SO, visit each of the pages that are preloaded bookmarks, then go into history and unstar them. They will instantly be deleted.
