hello,

i have an samsung captivate unlocked phone.
it was working fine all these days.today i changed the sim of another operator.
my phone is asking for the unlock code? and it tells you have 9 more attempts remaining.
i have not set any unlock code till now.
what is the default code?

can you please help

i had got this from at&t as an unlocked phone , why did it lock again?

In your first post you said that you changed the sim card.

From the sim card wiki:

A subscriber identity module or subscriber identification module (SIM) on a removable SIM card securely stores the service-subscriber key (IMSI) used to identify a subscriber on mobile telephony devices (such as mobile phones and computers). The SIM card allows users to change phones by simply removing the SIM card from one mobile phone and inserting it into another mobile phone or broadband telephony device.

yes i changed the sim, then it got locked.so it is mostly related to PUK number rite? so i need to contact my network operator and ask my puk number rite?

Go to the market and get the SGS Unlock tool if you're routed, you can get the codes with that tool.
