Locking info

Hi guys,

I want to know if there is any way of having the locking system changed.

I was looking for the motorola lock system.

Like when you slide from left to right it unlocks and when you slide from right to left it goes to silent or normal sound profiles. I hope I have made the senario clear.

Does any know how to do this in the dhd.

You should try the widget locker app.. as far as i know it gives you an 8th screen, a "lockscreen" which is customisiable to include widgets on your lock screen. it allows the locking mechanism to be like the motorola fones with the sideways swipe...

Well I found out that its called the Vanilla Unlock screen or maybe rotatory screen.

Do you know by any chance how to get that with out rooting....

Like punk_19 said, Widget Locker will do the trick for you. It gives various options for unlocking your screen, including 'Motorola Froyo' and 'Motorola Froyo (Standard)'.
Its a paid app though, but well worth the cost. I especially like the fact that it allows me to wake the phone using the volume button (big phone, small hands)!

i don't think you need to root your device for widget locker.. yea it is a paid app.. not very expensive tho... around 90 bucks only...
