Root Long press volume button changes the track?

Is this possible on the Esteem? I know it's available on a lot of other phones. It'd be great for switching tracks while in the car or when the phone's in my pocket!
 
ive tried this as well and doesnt seem to work i did howver have cm7 on another device and this worked great
 
I believe its the music app, not the phone itself.
I downloaded another music player a while ago, and I could start and stop it with my headphones, which I can't do with stock player. Try other apps on the market
