Longer MicroUSB data charge cable

I find the Samsung MicroUSB data charge cable too short and would like to buy a longer one. Has anyone done that and if so can you provide details of where you bought it and how well it worked?

Any USB micro B cable will do.
I use a 6ft one from asda.

I ordered the following cable from Amazon because the connectors look like the official Samsung cable. It gets good reviews except for one person who tried to use it with a Tom Tom satnav.
