Do you expect this to be a big flagship release for Verizon or will it fad into the masses? I feel that their effort has not really been focused on this device due it being announced such a long time ago. On the other hand, they could be going for a big splash with this device as it did not seem that the Droid 3 was hyped to the level it deserved.

I am a bit torn to buy this device and hope that it will get the 4.0 update (Ice Cream Sandwich)...which I have read is to release in November...or wait until 4.0 releases to make sure that I am running the latest software.

This is pure speculation. (I am not sure how much that is appreciated here as this is only my second post) But, what are your thoughts and/or advice?

Supposedly this phone will have a large marketing campaign and some people have been told from various sources that the bootloader will be unlocked in nov so if this is true it will lead to lots of development and then it will for sure get 4.0 if not officially then through roms but a phone of this caliber I wouldnt see it not getting 4.0 since that would only be 1 os update and most high end phones get atleast 1 if not more os updates.

If this phone is supposed to get a huge marketing campaign, all that we have seen of it so far is an e-mail sign up website. That doesn't bode well for an August 4th launch unless this ad campaign begins by the end of this week.
