Looking for a digitizer

Hey,

My buddies daughter had her s3 for about a week. She came from an iphone. And already broke the screen. It is an at&t s3 in white.

Question is where can I get the digitizer for a fair price. We found one on ebay for 17 dollars but it's from Hong Kong and I'm afraid it won't be a quality replacement. The other ones I've found are about 200 plus dollars which is ridiculous. The fact that the screen broke this easily is simply ridiculous in itself. I've had my evo 4G lte for months now. Not a single scratch. Let alone a crack. It fell of her lap. There isn't a single scratch on the phone. But the glass is shattered. Is this common for the s3?

Anyway if you guys know anywhere with a FAIR price I'd really appreciate it.
 
Off her lap? I know it's not bulletproof but it shouldn't be that fragile. Was she sitting on the ledge of a building?

Would you even need a new digitizer? All you need is a new glass no? I read in another thread that Samsung will replace them for $200. Haven't seen anything else. Good luck.
 
You can not just replace the glass. The glass is glued to the digitizer. Sorry, but 200.00 is about the going price.

she's about 14. It dropped maybe 3 feet.

It's very easy to replace, true for most Samsung phones
