Go to Bestbuy and get the Optimus S for FREE. Where as Sprint will be charging you and the rebate crappola. Hurry before Jan 30th so you dont have to pay the 10 dollar 4g fee. :)

wait.. it is free from bestbuy? it costs 50 at the store (after rebate).. is it free for contract renewal or for new contracts?

As an optimus owner, my opinion is that this is an excellent phone. If you don't need/want/have access to 4G, this is probably the best choice. It's small enough that it feels like a phone (rather than a mini tablet), solid, performs well, and has an excellent screen. Without going into all the technical mumbo jumbo, let me just say that LG did an incredible entry to the Android market, and when I become eligible for a new phone (I think in 21 months now, haha), I will be looking for an LG phone with 4G capabilities to upgrade.

SPrint, online was free, and all rebates are taken care of no sending in.

SPrint Corp store, either you pay, and the sales fills the envelope out for you, you send rebated wait 12 plus weeks per rebate

If you are a premier, you get deals, if you are a new to contract you get deals, ifyou are out of contract you must fight for a deal. if you are in a contract you must talk and fight for a deal.

The LG I own two, One member no complaints, getting used to, and still working out the lil details,

Me. I returned due to my needs. I need a Push button talk, and End, and actual keyboard. this has only a End call. I do not care for all electronic buttons.\, and online keyboard
Other than that the phone is light, slim easy to use, and battery life was not the best, nor the worst.

Yes Free. and yes free. and BB stands behind everything they sell no questions asked with one year manufacturers warrenty. Get the 7 dollar insurance incase you drop and break it. :p ' so did I mention its free.

I actually jumped from verizon on this before my contract was up cause the money I saved at sprint covered the fee from verizon for dropping them in two months time.:cool::p

well we are definitely going to BB but they quoted me 49. Maybe it isn't free anymore :(

We will look into the insurance.. Cant afford to have these phones break on me since we would then be charges the 10 stupid fee from sprint if we got a replacement phone without the insurance.

Darn it, one week they are free the next 49. sorry I was there the other day saturday and it was free again. but at least you dont have to fool with the rebate at BB.
So we are clear Insurance will cover physical damage and defects BUT there will also be a co pay fee. :( BB will replace for free under warrenty defective phone. :)

Yeah, there was a couple of things that bb was offering. Their warranty (I have 30 days to add it) for 10 a month and also a buy back plan. I guess with the buyback plan I can upgrade my phone before the 2 year mark and they will give me money for my old phone which I can apply towards a new phone but I get to pay the upgrade price and not the msrp price. The only problem is I am pretty sure sprint will charge u the 10 extra for the new phone. Since we are trying to avoid that charge we didn't buy that deal (it cost 70)

Yup, the new smartphone pricing took effect today... and the S went on sale at radio shack for free to both new and upgrading customers. Of course the $50 to get the phone yesterday would have easily been offset by the $240 you could have saved by avoiding the $10 premium data fee that took effect today.

I have had this phone for about 2 weeks and its my first droid.Have to say at first it was like "how do you do this" "how do you do that". But after a couple days and reading the manual its a really great phone. Like was stated the battery life isn't that great but i'm sure i have things running i don't know about yet. But I highly recommend.
