Looking for a programer to make an app to delete msgs

Hello,
It has been a while, but I am looking to see if any one knows how to write an app that will delete all messages that begin with "1010"

Basically we get notified on our phones and all the messages begin with 1010, and it would be nice to be able to delete just those messages with out having to nuke all the other organisations...


any ideas? thanks

Aren't your msgs for 1010 all in one thread...? If So, then from the first level of msg threads long-press that thread and you will have an option to delete it (the thread and all the msgs in that thread) ... any thread from any one can be deleted this way ...

alternately you can create a filter for those messages so that a label gets applied, then you just go to that label and delete them all.
 
No they dont show up in one thread... :( and the 1010 is just the start of the "from number"... so they would be like 1010199 and 10104889 etc. I think it is because the message is being sent via e-mail to sms...

so I haven't found a way to make a contact to label them... I think each message is different but they all start as 1010... so My thought was an app that could just delete any msg starting in 1010 in the from line..

is the subject line similar or the same? Does the body contain similar text?

You can create filters based on one or several factors:

From address
To address
Subject
Has The Words
Doesn't Have the Words

and the great thing is you can test a filter before applying it. If the 1010 messages have the same text in every message, you should be able to easily create a filter.
