I believe it's the kernel you need to change, not the ROM. The Anthrax kernel should have PS3 controller drivers, if I remember reading that somewhere correctly.
Sense uses Bluetooth in some weird way that breaks Wii and ps3 support.
I believe cm9 has it working. Any aosp rom should work.
It works on my ego 4g lte running sense. So its not strictly a sense issue.
I believe it worked n the OG as well
No it's not strictly a sense issue, is strictly a sense 3.6 issue
It's a Sense issue for all versions 3.6 and older. HTC seems to have added/repaired the HID profile in the bluetooth stack in later versions of Sense.
With that said, the "wiicontroller" app/IME from the market coupled with the "HID enabler" (link found in the description for the wiicontroller app) does allow a wii remote to work with Sense 3.6.
PS3 controllers over bluetooth still do not work.
No go for me. I just copied devils toast 7.4 Bluetooth.apk to my sd card, deleted the Bluetooth.apk on sense (root explorer) copied cm9 to system, apps and installed. I think this could work if someone who knows more about deving could look into it.

Tried bluez ime with hid enabler after changing permissions of the cm9 Bluetooth.apk to rw r r . Phone only recognizes wiimote, does not connect.
You don't need the bluetooth apk from a CM rom (this doesn't fix bluetooth in a sense rom anyway) to get bluez IME w/hid enabler to work with a wiimote.
bluez ime w/hid enabler works on Midnight rom for me with the stock htc bluetooth stack.

When I try to connect via bluez ime I get a pairing request in the notification bar that takes me to this
right, at which point you need to input 0000 to complete the pairing.
It helps to have already typed in 0000 somewhere and copied it to the clipboard since once you get to that stage your IME will be the wii remote and not your keyboard.
On my original EVO the light stops blinking on the wii remote when paired, but with my EVO V it keeps blinking even though it works. At least I think that's what it did.
