Root Looking for a ROM with PS3 and Wii Controller support

Update: copying and pasting the code works for the pairing request but not getting a connect. It hangs on connecting until the wiimote turns off. Do you select bluez ime or wiimote ime? Because the only way it connects for me is with bluez ime. Wiimote ime turns off Bluetooth

Somehow got it to connect again but again I can only map buttons. I think this is because I have bluez ime selected and not wiimote ime. But like I said before if I select wiimote ime it disconnects. Death sled your advice is.much needed. Thanks

You need to be on the Bluez IME. I don't know what your "wiimote ime" is. Did you install some other wiimote app?

In your emulator, nesoid for example, after you've mapped the keys go to "Other Settings" and check the box for "Use input method". Even though you've mapped the buttons to the controller it won't work in-game until you enable that option. Why this isn't in the "Input Settings" section I have no clue...

Yeah that probably came from another wiimote app. Thanks, I'll try that tonight

Now if I can just figure out the trick to connecting. Every time I enter the pairing key the wiimote shuts off and blues hangs on connecting. Don't remember exactly how I did it before

Ok got it connected and played some abadox with it (so sweet) however to get it to connect is like a glitch. Takes multiple times and still don't know exactly how to. But at least I know it works, thanks to author and death sled

I tried this tonight too just for the hell of it. I got connected fine but realized that I don't have a single game that supports a controller... lol

Lol. How did you get it to connect? I wonder if it's glitchy for me because I'm on a sense 4.1 rom.

Check out the "slideMe market" if you need an emulator because all the best ones (in my opinion) were free for a while.(all end in 'oid..nesoid, n64oid ect..)

I just d/l the Bluez IME with HID enabler. Switched it to wiimote and searched for it. Hit the connect button under the battery cover and it found it. I pasted 0000 into the code box and viola, it connected. The lights on the controller flash the whole time its connected but I was navagating through the phone menus with the wiimote. I am on a 3.6 ROM so that may make a difference.

I really miss the ROMgripper days.

I've been pressing the 1 and 2 buttons together to connect, I'll try the connect button tonight and see if it works any better.

I dl Bluez IME and I'm trying to connect it but it just gives a " connection refused error." Did you guys use anything else? Did you guys touch anything else regarding the availabe "drivers"?

You have to download the hid enabler. It's still glitchy for me though, trying to get the method down

Figured out a method that connects for the most part. 1. Select device, then wiimote hid. 2. let your wiimote turn off. 3. Select bluez IME and as soon as the connecting notification disappears turn on your wiimote for connecting.

Ok I installed the HID enabler from Bluez Help option. Wow what a ******* ***********, Ok I got it working for sure now. Everytime you want to connect you hit scan, press 1+2 on the wiimote, then obviously select the wiimote after it finds it, then go and select the wiimotehid, by now the wiimote should be turning off, then select ime and choose bluez, wait until all the "connecting to" display goes away, wait a bit, then hit the 1+2 buttons on the wii-- It should say "connected". It works now. Just played metal slug and super mario world. Is there a way to increase the core speed mobsterz? (AND YES this is exactly what phw8558 just mentioned above)

Are you just using a standard wiimote? I'm thinking about buying a GameCube wiimote for 64 roms

Take that back, classic pro wiimote:thumbup:

Datel Retro Wireless controller is where it's at :smokingsomb:

It's like a classic controller but contains all its own wireless bits, so you don't have to tether it to another wiimote! That's what I use. :)
