Apps Looking for advises about marketing

M3tthew

Lurker
So i did my first android game, and now i need to do a good marketing for it, the problem is that i'm absolutely new with it. What the first steps should be?

Hi @M3tthew and welcome to Android Forums :)

I moved your question into the Application Development development subforum since fellow developers will be able to provide the best suggestions on how to promote your game.

I will, however, state that questions like these tend to turn into a spam-fest so I'll be watching closely. Hopefully someone will be able to provide some useful ideas without simply promoting their own products or services. ;)

Good luck!

Thak you, as you see i didn't post a link to my game, so i respect your rules

Well from what I've seen with other apps/games, I notice they usually have a website, if not just for the game, then certainly for the developer.
You can also promote the game on social media, creating a Facebook page seems like a very good step.

Actually i did the fb page & Vk. But i'm looking for something more specific

If that's a game that have multiplayer functionality then there's an effective thing that we do in a forum that I'm part with that we gather some members of the forum then we play it together. The point of that is that if they liked it they'll also start gathering other people that they know to try the game out. I'm not really sure how effective that will work if you're taking game development on Android as a business because game development(not on Android) on our end is just pure hobby but you can still give that a shot.

I just advice you that do not let the number of downloads and rating bother you. As long as you love what you're doing and you keep updating your game or creating new ones you'll get that recognition with just little advertising.

Thank you, we are working on multiplayer, so someday we will add it. And yeah we are really like to develope & improve this game

Hi M3tthew, here's some tips for you:
1. You can make your app online to kinds of app markets.
2. Share it on FB, G+, twitter, Linkin, Quaro, Blogger and so on.
3. Seek for some companies that running this kind of business. They hold many sources that can help your app increase huge amount of CPA in a short time.
BTW, you can contact me to at Skype for more info about it: Coolsmart_Silva

Hey @M3tthew ,
I think what we as app developers (not marketers) often forget is that app marketing (Android, iOS, and the rest) start at the app/play store. Sharing on social media platforms such as FB, G+, Twitter and others are important as @Silva_Xu mentioned, but they will eventually link to your app's page in the play store. If your app store page is not attractive, it won't convert well. So it's important to have your app store page optimized, with good description, nice icons, effective app screenshots, etc. When that's done, then spread the word through blog post, emails, social media share, forums, words of mouth...

i changed my play market page a lot, right now i'm running a/b test with my new game icon.
But at first all of this is not enough, i mean store page & social media. I'm looking for a good forums, or site with good convert from reviews, even if it not free

You might also want to look at discovery services like Tapdaq.com (free)... Haven't really use them, but I'm about to try with one of my apps/games... seems very interesting..
