Looking for an app (Details)

I'm looking for an app for a friend, it's a security app from what she tells me. She says what she is able to do with it is find her phone if it's lost through gps coordinates and to text her phone a certain word and it will go off and play a sound or something like that.

If anyone has any idea or suggestions what this may be that'd be great.

I've been using Cerberus and it has the same features you mentioned and then some. I've used it a few times and it works well.

Several apps do that. Avast!, BitDefender, Cerberus, Lookout!, AVG....

No additional app may be needed. Android Device Manager is included by default on all fairly recent phones and is excellent. Look for it in Google Settings.

^^^that, log into play from your computer and you can ring your device remotely or wipe it.

use caution with the actual ADM app, though. If someone gets into your phone it can be used to find other devices and either wipe or locate them.

Does ADM send location? Ive never actually played with it

ADM does send location. It will also remotely make it ring for 10 minutes, password lock it or wipe it clean.
