Looking for some advice from a TMobile rep

I'm hoping some TMobile reps frequent this part of the forum.

I bought an Optimus T from some guy who lives locally. His wife got the phone but defaulted on her bill and the phone was shut off. Well after getting the phone I flashed it with an incorrect recovery. The phone is bricked. I'm trying to recover it myself in another part of the forum.

I called LG and was trying to see if they'll fix the phone. They sent me a return authorization number. But I have to send it proof of purchase with the phone. Needless to say I do not have that. Is it possible for some rep to pull it up and send me a copy? Email me the a pdf document that I can print myself? I obviously have the phone and can provide the IMEI/SN as necessary.

Thanks.

Did you ever get this resolved? I might be less reluctant to play with custom roms if I know a bricked phone can always be recovered.

The easiest and most complete way to brick the phone is to try and use the factory reset option in the privacy menu once your rooted. You can only use the option in the custom recovery. If you have a custom recovery you can get yourself out of any other mistakes.

Note. The phone still sits in a box. Nothing I did helped it and then I got distracted. So many phones so little time!

When you say bricked, does that mean you can't get into a recovery at all, not even the Stock Recovery? Can you get into Emergency mode?
