Root Looking for some help............

Hi there.........Sorry for the long intro.......... I have been installing and trying out different Roms and had lots of success doing this until all of a sudden the Darkslide 4.2 Blur rom i was running lost all 3G and internet.

I kept backups of everything so i re-installed Darkslide but had the exact same issue. I then went to my backed up Apex 1.3.1 and that seemed to work fine.

So i tried unsuccessfully to re-install other backups i had of Liberty, Darkslide, and Apex. NONE would work All i got was a triangle icon with an exclamation in the middle held by a little android guy.

I did a battery pull and rebooted and am on Apex 1.3.1 but it is from early January???????

I went into Rom Manager and clicked "Flash ClockworkMod Recovery" and then went down to "backup current ROM". It backed it up. I did not change the name it gave it at all. The phone rebooted OK.

I wanted to test this so i went to Rom Manager and clicked on "Manage and Restore Backups" and chose the name of the recently created backup called "2011-01-22-09.36.24" and clicked restore...............

Again,i got the little triangle icon, it did not work
I pulled the battery and rebooted the phone and it is now back to the early January Apex 1.3.1 rom............

What would you guys do..............LOL

I constantly have problems with ROM Manager. Just use Bootstrap to get you into clockwork recovery. go to Backup/Restore choose restore then find your backup file and restore it.

Have you set any of those roms to overclock at boot? If so, you lost them.

Not 100% sure i understand, but i have never done any overclocking on purpose?

I made a change to one of my screens and then.........
Just went into Bootstrap and rebooted, made a restore and then rebooted. I again got a message saying "SORRY! Process system is not responding" Gave me a choice of force close or wait.
I pulled the battery, it booted into CW, chose to reboot system and it rebooted fine. It was however PRIOR to me making the screen change

Seems i can not make a workable backup...............

Any ideas????????

Whys that? How does the oc affect the back up?

Oh well...............thanks for any help i received.

Had to figure this one out on my own. Got everything up and running again.

If anyone has a similar issue i would be glad to help. Let me know
