Hey i'm new here so if this is posted in the wrong spot, my apologies. I've had an incredible since release last year. obviously the phone had the original amoled screen. However recently it has broken. the sceen itself is cracked, not the front glass touch screen but I don't know for sure if the front digitizer is damaged also. Nothing at all comes on the screen when powered up. the warranty is out due to transferring the phone so basically its a self fix should i chose to do so and bother investing in the phone.
I can't seem to find anyplace to purchase the amoled screen without buying 2 or more and I'm not sure I want to invest $150+ on 2 screens and hope i can sell the other. The lcd screen is available for individual purchase for half the price, but will it be compatible with my current model phone?
So, what do you think? will the lcd work? should I even bother investing in the phone? Or maybe just sign up for a new verizon contract, get a new phone number and purchase a new phone at the discounted price? Any advice is appreciated?
