Help looking to disable update notifications

Hi, it's been not that long (~5 months or less) since I got my phone, when I purchased it, it had version 4.0.4, by mistake I allowed it to download an update I think is 4.1...), haven't applied it yet. I've read a way to disable software/system update notifications

But I'm not root, I'd be very happy to know if someone knows how to stop the message from popping up every 3 hours

The Reason why I don't want to update yet is because I read this review about 4.1 and I don't like the look of the clock...

Did a factory reset and set up to not notify about updates, hopefully I won't get any more.
Everything seems ok, so far.
