Lookout & More

Anyone here uses Lookout? I'm mad Google doesn't have an option to locate your missing device like Apple does with iCloud and such, is Lookout a good option? I see that it is free, so does this mean ads? Does the app take up a lot of battery, is there a better option, maybe even a paid option that is worth the money?

I want to hear your thoughts/experiences. :)

Lookout does work fine, and also adds other security options. You could also check out SeekDroid, which is a dedicated app for locating your missing device. I'm using Lookout currently but both seem to work well.

Lookout has a stand alone phone finding utility that can be installed after you lose your phone. It's called Plan B. Just go to the market on your desktop or laptop, sign in, find the app, press install.

If your GPS is on, it'll send you an email telling you where your phone is.

I've tried it. It works great.

I have used most of them and clearly the most accurate and feature complete app is Cerberus. It's also free. It does things like automatically taking a picture of the user and sending it to you.
