Root Looks like Future Razr ROMs and Bionic ROMS are interchangeable

Are you talking about smart actions when you say the settings profiles thingy, haha. Of so, I thought someone ported it already. Honestly, I saw the thread but never read it. :o

Edit: just read it...and I see it's not fully functional.

Also, that SBF site had all GB ROMs up there - so I'm wondering if there is some porting going on or what...

I really want to get my hands on the ICS leak and see if it would work, but it looks for completely different system file signatures than what is on our BIONICs, so....

I'll keep looking at that site though. I may get a flash of inspiration....
 
This was a total guess (miss) on my part. Though the first generation razrs and bionic are similar, the kernels are different enough that they can't be interchanged. It's probably because of the locked bootloader. Devs have been able to port razr custom roms though.

Out of curiosity, why do you want the razr maxx stock Rom on the bionic.

Correct - while most of the hardware is identical, several things are not and they owe to enough differences that the ROMs are not 100% compatible. But many have been ported, IIRC.

If we had unlocked bootloaders, I'm betting we could run RAZR ROMs with little fuss.

I'm running ICS 6.7.246 on my bionic right now
And currently I'm using Smartfren Telecom(CDMA-EVDO) & Telkosel(GSM-HSPA).

btw, I'm form Indonesia :)
