Looks like Note II has a direct competitor

Looks almost like a Note 2. Kinda glad this whole phablet thing is gaining momentum. Was very intrigued by Huawei's Ascend Mate and the specs on that however I'm not too familiar with Huawei's reputation. Very curious to see how Samsung tops the Note 2 as well as see what other companies are going to come out with. I think LG learned a BIG lesson from their failed Intuition phone which was pure crap.
 
If this had come out for Sprint, instead of the original Optimus G, it might have been a harder decision on my upgrade...but, there are 2 factors that would still sway me toward Samsung and the G Note 2:

- S-Pen, including software enhancements connected to S-Pen
- 3rd party accessory support for Samsung vs. LG
 
it is not a direct competitor. only thing close is that it is 5.5". No digitizer? no sale to anyone who wants the S pen features, which is a very useful and attractive feature. i've been using my s pen nearly every day lately.
 
Yeah I don't see anything coming close until they get a stylus type device built in, and as far as I've read nobody is doing that.
 
32 GB of internal storage?
13 mp back camera?
1.7 ghz quad core?

Not bad. Pretty interesting.
Though I like my Note II...
