Help Loose USB Connection?

Has anyone found an issue with the Galaxy Nexus where the USB connection gets very loose and finicky over time?

When developing on the device, it continuously disconnects. It's pretty annoying, has anyone seen a fix for this or knows of a better cable? I'd like to fix this without sending it to samsung for an arm and a leg.

Sometimes it's just a cable replacement. I used the one from my Thunderbolt for the longest time, I don't even know if I've opened the one from my Nexus box. But I have a couple different ones too. I bought one from RadioShack not too long ago, as a spare. But majority of the time, a new cable will be tighter to connect, hopefully that's all you need.

Check the port for any dirt/ pocket lint. One time I brought mine in because it was loose and wouldn't charge, Sprint lady cleaned it out with a needle and some compressed air and it was like brand new.

I use this one at work. For $6 you can go wrong for an OEM cable.

my gnex usb gets a bit finicky sometimes... but it seems to only be with the replacement oem cable (og oem cable broke after a fall while phone was plugged in). my thicker bb cable seems to have a better connector quality.

have a feeling, that if I keep this phone for another year or more, the usb is going to get looser and looser. but so far hasn't been an issue.
