Loosing text messages

I left my HTC Desire HD on charge last night, however when I woke up this morning all my text messages have dissappeared and the inbox was completely empty.

I cannot understand why this has happened? I've checked my message settings and I dont have any time limits on how long the messages are stored for etc.

Has anyone else experienced this problem? And is there any way I can get them back?

yea mine disappeared a few days ago. All I can think of is there should be a back-up on htcsense account.

It's this new update. Causing many, many issues with the text feature.

That happened to me too a while back, I looked around and it's been reported a few times before.

It's not an update problem though, it happened to me around November, and I believe it's an existing bug on the standard Desire, too.
