Help Losing 3g now

Well this is fantastic. I got used to keeping the ol Bionic in 3g to avoid the gingerbread data drop issue. It sucks, but it was functional.

Now today, I am having intermittent 3g data drops. Yay.

I trolled the Verizon site's forums and it sounds like as of this morning, lots of folks in different areas are having the same issue.

Maybe a pre cursor to getting the fabled OTA? sure hope so. Cause no 4g is am annoyance. No 3g either is ridiculous. If I wanted a useless over priced wi fi device, I'd get a damn iPod touch.

Yes, there have been a few times I have been dropped down to 1x before. Doesn't happen often at all, but I believe it has to be something VZW is doing.

It happened to me last Thursday when I found myself in a 4G-3G-1G area for the night.

When back in my 3G-only area it did not happen.
