Help Losing contact ringtone after reboot

revel51

Newbie
I have a Galaxy S4 w/ Verizon. It is not holding my ringtones that I set for individual contacts. It resets all of them after I power cycle the phone.

I am doing the same exact thing I did on my Sprint S2 and I had no issues at all on that phone.

The mp3s are the same exact ones I used on my S2. They are in the Ringtones folder on the phone, not the SD Card.

How do I fix this?

Thanks.

Ok. I'm an idiot. This is solved. The Mp3s were actually on the SD card. I moved them to the Phone Ringtone folder and now it is working.

Either delete the thread entirely or leave it up for other people running into this same issue.

Again, the solution is to move your ringtones over to your PHONE and then delete the ones on the SD card. Try applying the ringtones and rebooting phone. They should stay.
