Help Loss of Data/Voice Connection

I am now on replacement #2 because of other hardware issues, but it seems like this issue is not occurring anymore with me.

There was one case where the 3G radio did not turn on after battery saver was disabled, but cycling wifi brought it right back.
 
verizon is aware that this is a problem( losing cell and data connection) with 2.3.3 and are working on it. it is NOT just a mot problem..........all majors have it as well, HTC and Samsung, so we we have to wait it out or go back to froyo.

Do you have a source with that information? Aside from other issues, the cell radios have worked fine in my replacement phone.
 
information is from verizon themselves. i spoke with second level tech support and they allowed that this is true. further they answered my direct question about other hardware platforms affected... ie HTC and Samsung. there are just too many posts on too many forums about this issue-- it makes perfect sense. i have had my same phone(droid x) for nine months plus with a smooth upgrade to froyo and then problems started right after upgrade to gingerbread.........

Wish I would have seen that before I swapped my phone. The VZW rep I spoke with never heard of the issue.
 
So I am on replacement phone #3. All the buttons and camera actually works on this one. I was so excited that I finally got a phone that works. Then...the radio drops out a few days later. :mad:

Maybe I'll try a rom this weekend if I have time. I think I'm done waiting on Motorola for a solution.

i had the dropped data issue only maybe 3 times in the two months i was on 596. i've had it 3 times in the several days i've been on 602.

unlike many other people, cycling airplane mode brings it back.
