Help Lost 27% battery life overnight?

qwertyaas

Usually, my battery only drops 1-2% overnight. Last night, for some reason the battery dropped 27% (over 7-8 hours of standby). The largest battery usage was Cell Standby and Idle.

I checked Juice Plotter and there was definately something running as the temps were a bit higher but nothing under battery usage indicated that.

Odd, since usually my battery lasts a good while.

Just to mention, my WiFi is set to never sleep and I haven't changed any settings. I downloaded NoLED a couple days ago but uninstalled it to see if that was the cause.

if you download an app called spare parts and then go to battery history and then select partial wake usage at the top it will show you what is causing your battery to drain. This happened to me and i found the app that was cuasing it and uninstalled it and now my battery drains about 1-2 percent overnight max.

I had something similar happen to me the other day. Turns out it was a process called media server that ran wild. I have no idea why it turned on but apparently it happens sometimes to android phones. Good thing there was still enough juice to have my alarm go off. I would have been pissed if my battery drained completely and the alarm didn't go off.

I googled it and never really found out what it is. Obviously something related to media serving but I have no idea what started the process and why it ran out of control. It has never happened to me before and I'm not using the phone any differently or installing any weird apps.
