What do you mean lots of clicking? All you have to do hold the power button down then turn off data, takes just a couple of seconds. :confused:

But yeah turning it off and on as and when you need data is better than just leaving it on all the time.

Unless you are a power user like myself. I use google talk throughout the day with many people(including a few here at AF), i have 5 email accounts syncd, three of which are for business purposes and many other uses. There are people like me who need a persistant data connection. There is an option buried in the android settings menu that actually disables a constant data connection, which would keep someone from having to switch it on and off all the time.

Sorry I'm still not sure what you mean, you can disable the data connection by holding down the power button and selecting disable/enable, I'm not sure what setting your refering to that's buried in the android settings.

If you need the 3G connection on then you need it on, I don't see how using juice defender would help you there.

It appears this is an HTC Sense feature. I don't don't see it in CM7 but it is on my sense ROM's. Sorry, I don't use it so I didn't know this was an HTC sense exclusive feature.

For those of you with an HTC phone:

Menu->Settings->Wireless&Networks->Mobile Networks
