Root lost all phone service after using a /data to sd-ext script

so i used a script last night to move /data to sd-ext, upon a reboot i lost all phone service, moved /data back, but still no service. the phone thinks its in airplane mode, but the box is not checked in settings. if i turn on airplane mode, it just hangs at disableing wirless connections, i back out of that screen, reenter it, and airplane mode shows being on, but then the same happens when i try to turn airplane mode off, but i cant. in phone settings/about phone baseband and hardware version are both shown as unknown, and if i try to enter status it force closes.
oh, did i mention my sound has also gone away? yeah, i have no volume from my phone. no errors or anything, just silence.

i've refelashed the phone from odin, and stgill nothing. anyone? a little help?
 
Next time use link2sd and have a big SD and make a 1gig partition then you wont have to worry about space :)

To your question is cwm wipe all...
Enter advanced restore and format data,system.........etc...

Flash the stock metro rom in the forums...
 
yeah, tried that, also tried to odin to stock, no luck. i also forgot to mention i cant get qpst to see my phone. it isnt a driver problem as i just redid those as well....
 
That's weird... if u use Odin and all the wiping the phone should be brand new all system files should be reset. So no user errors should be on the phone I would try again...
 
That's what I was trying to say SA... I would provide the links but I'm using tapatalk ... its a pain to link things with 1x connection LOL when I get home ill be able to help more
 
i've tried all of this. flashed stock++, cm 7.2, the stock cwm, used odin to restore both pda's (one at a time of course) wiped everything 6 ways from sunday. odin sees my phone, adb see's my phone, but the dignostic port that qpst uses isnt showing up. phones radio seems nonexistant. used odin to restore the amss but still a no go? gonna trhy to find the debug mode post and see if i can go from there. i also tried reprogramming my phone with the ##626* but it refuses to accept my spc?
 
Did anyone ever resolve this issue? I am having pretty much the same issue with this phone... Edit: When I factory reset from CWM I get the error message:

E:format_volume : make_extf4fs failed on /dev/block/mmcblk0p2
Formatting /sdcard/.android_secure...
Data wipe complete.

I figure this strongly has something to do with this.. Fixing permissions does not work either.

you dont have a mmcblk0p2

that WAS reserved for /sd-ext (not to be confused with /sdcard on mmcblk0p1) you needed to partition your sdcard and format it to ext4 (keeping some of it for fat32 for normal sdcard usage)

now that new phones all use emmc and virtual partitions mmcblk0p1 is usually bootloader and mmcblk0p2 is some form of secondary bootloader aka fastboot/download mode etc. while sdcard got moved to mmcblk1p1
 
Sounds like you should goto Samsung site download the 2.3.6. Update (all this requires of your phone is download mode)then after it loads up it will work fine use Odin to load 5.0.27 onto your phone again go to the sticky on the top of the forum that says 2.3.6 root downlooad this file boot into cwm then MAKESURE you mount system first then select the 2.3.6 root file to install. Reboot phone and there you go
 
Ok I will try this and see if it saves the phone. I have had this Admire sitting around for a month and a half or so using it for WiFi every once in awhile but it randomly reboots and crashes all the time plus I can't get it onto Metro PCS because of the issue with the Baseband and missing Radio files or whatever it is. Might I note, the phone is rooted and flashed, does this Samsung update work with all that? What does it do? Just Reinstall stock out-of-the-box phone?
