Root lost and confused

I have rooted my Eris, and now want to upgrade to froyo 2.2. Is there anyone who knows how to upgrade?

I also am having trouble getting the wireless tethering to work. My wii finds the access point, but will not connect. Am I doing something wrong?

2.1 ROMs are more popular, most people say they're faster too. which tether app are you using?

kaosFroyo is a good 2.2 ROM, overclocked by default and very smooth. No HTC Sense though if you are a Sense lover. you can find it in the Eris Development forum on XDA

Nope, you're not dong anything wrong. Nintendo, for whatever reason, decided not to allow the Wii to connect to an ad-hoc network, which is what the wireless tether app creates. I share your frustration.
