Root lost audio/mic/vib

careloads

Newbie
First I want to thank you all for the tireless work you have done for us!

I just rooted my Esteem (my first root...) and I must have deleted/changed something related to audio, mic and vibrate functions. Does anyone know which file I would need to restore and what would be the best way to do it. Everything else seems to work fine.

stock ZVB, I used LG-Esteem-Revo_AIO.

Thanks for the help!

Hey care! I myself have rooted the phone (which was a pain at first) and had similar problems with that as well. @ lost all sound from speaker, head set, Mic and no vibrate. It has something to do with the root, not something u did. What I did was root, erase bloatware and then unroot and sound came back. If u are going to put a custom Tom on, then u can just root install cwm and then rom, then sound will be back with new rom , that way u wont have to unroot... something about the stock rom that root don't like and screws with sound and Mic

Thanks! I will try unroot.

u dont have unroot just download rom manager from the market flash cwm after that make backup with rom manager after backup is down go to download rom pg has the latest rom in there just flash it u should b good to go

Thanks to mrpnut and vic! I ended up doing the rom manager thing and installed the LDK-ICK v1.4 rom from here and I am back in business!!!

I did wipe my contacts in the process though...oops! Learning...

Just glad to get her working again!
