I have lost the contacts on my Galaxy S2, although there appears to be 34 MB of data in the Contacts Storage app, which is still running ... is there any way to get the contacts out of this app?

Thanks

Hello and welcome to Android Forums iamcdn13! :)

Just checking the obvious... Contacts > Menu > Contacts to display... have you ensured that you have set your contacts to display?

Assuming that your phone is sync'd with your Google account, you will be able to re-sync your contacts from there.

Tip: Using... Contacts > Menu > Import/Export... you can, in future, save/restore your entire contacts list to your external SD card.

As of yesterday I have lost the majority of, not all of my contacts on my EVO3D. I checked in the contact settings and can sort of see the problem but my assumption is there is a software glitch. Logging into gmail on my cpu I have over 1,200 contacts, looking at the synch with Gmail option on my phone it shows that I only have a little over 300 contacts, so for some reason it is not pulling them all. I did open it up and make sure that all the different types of contacts have check marks in them and I have restarted and checked for firmware and HTC updates but to no avail.

I cannot comment on the EVO3D as this is the Samsung Galaxy S2, International, forum. However, this may shed some light or help you to recover your Contacts...
