lost contacts

I did a factory reset in hopes to get a better battery life and now have no contacts in my phone, how do I get them from gmail to my phone? I have a verizon htc incredible, also what are your suggestions for a better battery life.

Set back up your gmail on the phone and theyll be there,

whenever I do try to sign in to gmail it tells me "you don't have a network connection"
