Help Lost Evo

Lurker
Ugh was at a restaurant last night and lost my phone...thing is I do have Lookout and I did call Sprint to make sure no one uses it. I tried to do Lookout only to find error connections and can't locate my phone. this is a bummer but hopefully someone turns it in but maybe when someone tries to charge it and use it then Lookout can work...

If you had sprint lock it out then of course lookout won't work!

LOL, good point. Locate your phone then have Sprint lock the phone. I use Where's my Droid. It will send you back the address/coordinates for your phone after you send the phone a text message. But I never turn my GPS on unless I'm need it. The accuracy of your phones location will blow unless your GPS or mobile data is on.

Cool part is your can text like two words to the phone so the perp doesn't know your phone is passing its location to you. I use the term "GPS broken" and my phone gives me its location.

Well I prefer lookout mobile security, when you install you can select the option to ONLY use the GPS Locate feature, then the website will activate your GPS, and tell you where it is. (Once you log into it at their website)

Pretty nice, imo.

Android took out the ability to activate remotely your GPS I thought. They won't allow apps to remotely activate the GPS. And remotely turning on the GPS does not always work, especially if the person knows how to cut it off. People that steal EVOs aren't dumb.
