Help Lost mp3 files

I tried to move the amazon mp3 folder and its music files yesterday from the phone to SD card using my laptop. But I don't know where I actually moved them to! They aren't in the location intended (there is an empty Amazon file on the SD card...) - I checked all other folders and the waste bin on my pc just to check I didnt delete them by mistake but they are nowhere to be seen.

Without rooting is there anything I can do to recover files or find out the path of destruction?

On my PC if I cut the files but then didnt paste them anywhere, can they be recovered?

There is a folder called Lost.dir

Checked if there are any files in there. If there is, its likely your MP3's that are corrupted. Don't know of any way to get the files back.
