Root Lost music playlists when flashing ROMs

Android Enthusiast
I just flashed my ROM (from MikG 2.61 to 3.11) and everything when smoothly using Titanium Backup Pro. However, I did loose my music playlists. I guess Titanium doesn't save that stuff?

I did make a nandroid of 2.61 before flashing so I should be able to restore my previous nandroid, get my playlists and then restore my current 3.11 nandroid...is that right?

My question is, how do I get the playlists onto my SD card for backing up?

Well, restoring my nandroid back-up didn't work. At first, I kept getting the "Oops" error until I figured out that the nandroid folder name can't have been changed from the original. I append a note after each nandroid describing it (with no spaces in the name). But it wouldn't restore the nandroid until I reverted the folder name back to its original.

Then once I finally got the nandroid restored, it would boot and then hang with status bar and wallpaper background only. I tried rebooting a couple of times and tried to restore the nandroid again, but it always hangs at the same spot so I restored the current nandroid and luckily, that worked.

So, I guess those playlists are lost. But I never liked the stock Android music app because the playlists were never accessible except in the program so there was no easy way to back them up or change them using a computer. Time to find a different music app that can sync playlists with a computer app. Heard good things about Songbird.

Anyway, just wanted to vent and maybe this well help someone else in the future.

Added on edit: I've been corrected in that the top folder ("HT116HL06336" on my phone) of the nandroid cannot be renamed, but the subfolder can be appended.
