Lost phone app.

Hi all,

Well today my son has lost his G1 so I was wondering if there's any good apps out there for locating lost phones. I have a Desire and would like an app for that.
I used to run GPS Tracker but that doesn't appear to be working which is a shame because I put it on my son's phone a long time ago!

Any ideas?

I use Lookout, but im sure it would have needed to have been installed on your sons phone first for you to find it.:(

Thanks for that.
Yes, I had GPS Tracker installed on his phone as well as my Desire but it doesn't work now. I have uninstalled and created a new account, set it up on mine and still doesn't appear to work, it just states "No data is available for this device"

OK so I have downloaded and installed Lookuot and all seems good after trying, but I already had my GPS activated. Do I take it that if GPS wasn't on that it automatically switches it on?
I don't like to leave it on due to battery conservation.

GPS only uses battery if it is flashing in your status bar. As in, if an app is using it. Otherwise it remains dormant using 0 power.

For future phones consider using Tasker.

There is a profile that can be used where if you text a password to the phone, it turns on GPS then emails a Google map link to its location.

That alone is worth the price of the app to me.
