It is a sad day for djron indeed.....My condolences go out to you and your EVO......Why did you accept the update if you don't mind me asking?

me again. first time that i can remember not enjoying the evo:(. once you have rooted there is no turning back. the phone know just seems like any other phone. I actually did not use it much this past weekend. Please unrevocked we need you. anyway, getting back to the reason i am writing, does everyone think that unrevocked will be able to help us root the new hboot 2.2 and above??? also i miss root so much that i am willing to purchase an evo from a local person selling there's in my area. what would be a good price on a used evo???? :D

I'm back sort off. i am having problems flashing Myns 2.2 rls4. it aborts the flash. i have tried several times. is this do to the hboot and 3.70 update?? if so will rls5 fix this? for the mean time does anyone recommend a different rom??

Can you give us more information? How are you attempting to flash the ROM (manually or through ROM Manager)?

ROM Manager. also manually. here is the how i do it manually: power off phone, press volume key down and power button, pick recovery, pick the myns zip file.

When attempting to flash manually, you're choosing the option to choose zip file from sd card, correct?

I'm wondering if you're fully rooted. I know the unrevoked beta successfully rooted phones running 2.02 hboot but have heard of it (unless I'm mistaken) running into some issues with hboot 2.10. Can you check and see if you've unlocked nand (s-off)?

So i am new to the threads an the rooting process but before i try to root is there a way to root the evo with the 3.70 an can u tell me the process you used or what site told you this haha man im sorry for the dumb questions just trying to get my battery to last longer

funny you asked:) i just tried bakedSnack1.7. same results:confused::confused:

Try manually flashing a ROM after flashing Amon RA recovery (which you can do through ROM Manager). Don't forget to perform a nand backup plus wipe dalvik-cache before flashing the ROM.

I have a question why is in every rooting manual say to root then flash your devise? Flashing is creating a back up so if you mess it you can go back to normal right? If so wouldnt you back up your devise before you root? I'm really nervous about an really wanna root so make my phone battery last longer ect.

frenchy i ran unrevoked again, all was good. the only diference this time is that i did not download rom manager but decided to manually go into recovery and flash Baked snack. WORKED. Going to try myns next. the thing i do notice is that rom manger wants to update clockrecovery to ver.3. which i was doing prior to running unrevoked again. any ideas??? maybe the new version of clockwork???

I don't use Clockwork (it's been known to not wipe dalvik-cache properly, if not at all), so I'm not sure. I use Amon RA religiously. :D

Yeah, clockwork has just been updated to 3.0. It now (supposedly):

1) Wipes dalvik correctly
2) Works with newer phones (and the different partitions)
3) Backs up your wimax partition just like RA

I have *not* tried it yet, and am perfectly happy with RA, so don't take this as a review or anything. I just read about it.
