lost superuser after jelly bean root

johngerr

Lurker
I am a novice user with SGS2 jelly Bean 4.1.2
PDA I900 XWLSS, Phone XXMS2, CSC XXLS9
After a painless update in Kies and rooting using Siyah S2-V6.0 beta 5 and Odin 3.07. Although showing yellow triangle on bootup Titanium cannot access root rights, I had superuser installed before update but downloaded again and tried to update binary - OK but root access failed.
Also now unable to connect to Kies to access files etc even though phone model recognised by Kies. Found post to try to connect with sd card removed - no problem - quickly connected. Any help would be much appreciated

Did you download Superuser or Superuser or SuperSU?

Try the last one.

Hi again the app I had was Super SU. I tried to download again but the play store said it was already installed. I tried to download again but this failed. I searched my app pages but cant find it. Is there another way to search for it? I'm beginning to doubt whether my sgs2 is rooted after all even though I get the yellow triangle and the Siyah widget at bootup.
Have just now found SuperSU in apps manager ver 0.96 but not shown in app pages. The launch by default is greyed out so unable to open.

OK more progress! - managed to uninstall SuperSU and then download again. Now have superuser rights with Titanium working again. Also managed a work around with Kies not connecting by unmounting sd card - connecting phone again to get the connection and then mounting again. Strange - still I'm happy again and thanks for the help
