Help Lost Voicemail Icon

whittall1

Newbie
Hi,

I have just noticed that I no longer get a notification icon if I have voicemail.

I have also changed my network provider but I wouldn't have thought that that would be the cause of the problem.
However I logged into my voicemail settings and turned the option to receive a text for voicemail notification off but the problem remains.

Any ideas?

Many thanks
Dave

hi there what network are you on my partner has just had this on orange,

called her mobile phone and there was an option to turn on notifications ( which had some how turned off) and then reset her phone....it was not the recieve notification by text which you did.

have you also tried restarting your phone ( hold power button down )

Hi,
I'm on 3 network.
When I dial my voicemail I have the option of how i'm notified about a new voicemai, but it is only the option to turn on or turn of notification by text.
If i turn it off I get no notification at all.
Yes I have tried turning the phone off even removed the battery!
Might have to get in touch with 3 but I suspect that they wont have an answer.

it actually could very well bethat you have changed provider.

go to menu>settings>call> and in voicemail settings, make sure your new provider is selected, it maybe still on your old provider if you have change.

i could be wrong, but worth a check

Many moons ago I had the opposite problem on a Windows Mobile device (TyTN II). Whatever I did, the VM icon wouldn't disappear. In the end, I think it was a call to O2 that finally sorted it. I'd second the suggestion to check with your provider.

**Update**

Spoke to 3 and they say that the icon is provider specific.
3 notify customers that they have a voicemail using text only.
Well there you have it !
