Lots of Physical Damage Issues

So, I REALLY liked this phone after playing with it in the main Sprint Store in Manhattan. But, when i talked to the techs there they said that they have been getting these back with physical damage issues. Broken screens, hinges for the slide, ports, etc. Never software issues. Just physical, damage. Is there a particular hardware revision i should be looking for?

Haha, I've got my shift when it first came out and never had any issues with it whatsoever. Not wearing a case, but am using a nice screen protector. Had to change the protector a few days ago cause I scratched it accidentally but the screen was perfectly fine with no signs of use, you can't even tell that the phone was used at all on the case or anything. I guess people who have returned it must have been playing ball with it or something. Or dropping it constantly. Just take care of your phone and I'm sure you won't have any issues either. It's pretty obvious that no physical damage comes from nothing. They must have been doing something to damage the phone.

No unusual number of calls about the Evo Shift here either.

ive had the shift for over a month and I do not have any issues. hardware issues typically do not just happen unless the user is doing something to cause it. Ive dropped my phone 4-5 times already and no problems. I do have a case to protect it.

I've dropped my phone on the concrete several times. No problems here. All I have is a screen protector. I have some dings, but no damage.

I don't know, this phone seems pretty damn solid. Dropped it twice, with the Seidio innocase on it and nothing...no dings, screen is fine as well.
