I reflashed the rom and everything is ok... thanks to El Presidente and DURX for helping me yyet again

Sorry... can't answer all your questions but:

2. I'm not sure if backups are cross compatible between CWM and 4EXT
5. I've always been told to avoid using ROM Manager (when it comes to flashing ROM's at least) - I would have thought it was the same for backups.
