Louder Volume

I work in a sometimes noisy workplace and even with my earbuds and an app (Music Volume EQ) still sometimes not as loud as I wish it to be.
Is there anyway to make the max volume louder?

There is if your device is rooted. It requires changing a value in the build.prop which is on the /system partition and cannot be edited without root.
