LOVE handcent for texting!!

You've got to try this!!! I was annoyed with not being able to switch quickly b/t typing texts or using voice to text so I tried this app. I adore it! I just wanted to pass it on for other slide users. And it's free!
 
Try prue messenger widget it shows gmail, email, txt, facebook, and Twitter. It's a paid app but well worth it!

Oh yeah...I forgot, it's skinable too!

I don't need an app for all of those items (really I don't need one for any of those) but thank you for the suggestion!

BTW, what does skinnable mean?

Ok so I have a qst for you, I just noticed all of my msgs are going to my old messenger and handcent even tho handcent is set as the default. How can I get them to only go to one place?

Go into the settings for the system "messaging" program and turn off notifications. They're always going to go there unless you root your phone and delete it but you can manage it so that it doesn't notify you for each one.
 
Thanks! I thought I'd have to delete them separately but it turns out if I delete the msgs in one they automatically delete in the other app as well. Nifty.
 
no i'm jk, i love chompsms.

Its new version has a quick reply pop up that gives you 3 choices:

Done: I dont want address this message at all
Later: Keep this message in my notification bar so I can address it later
Reply: Well you know what this means.

Its leading the way :)
