Love my EVO but........

One thing for me with it not being so bright like my blackberry is that when I get texts and emails in the middle of the night the LED doesn't wake me up from being so bright.

Lol same here I like it to have it wake me up like that cause I like to respond. And this one isnt as bright as the BB's so if im not looking at it directly it doesn't catch the corner of my eye.
 
At least it as one. The stupid Samsung EPIC won't have notification LED's neither does the iPhone. Kinda a MUST if you ask me.

Don't get me wrong I'm grateful for it, I really am. I'm just sayin it woulda been nicer if it WASN'T in the grill. Now, just because I said that, I'm getting attacked? Guys it's a phone and people are gonna have opinions I didn't say I didn't like the phone. Jeez.
 
Attacked? No, people are just expressing their opinion...just happens to be the opposite of yours! You asked a question on a public forum. Did you expect a censored "OMG we love you for your awesome critique" response?

Well if your gonna share your opinion it shouldnt be in a rude way. Good example: "Oh really? I kinda like it there because (reason)" You said. It works doesn't it? Like forcing me into agreeing with your opinion and rude if you ask me.

Yup I know it works but.. It kinda makes the light softer and weird looking bc of texture of the grill. I much prefer the BB's light but I'm still happy with the phone its great.

You'd probably have to contact HTC to find out who exactly came up with the idea. When you do, let me know so I can give them a thumbs up. I think it is creative and adds to the smooth design of the phone.

I think there is an app for phones without a notification LED that lights up pixels on the screen when it's off. There is also an app that flashes the camera flash when a call or text comes in. I use that for calls. Startles people when I'm in a dark place.
 
I understand what ur saying. Yes it is kinda cheesy. Like they finished the phone and didn't realize they forgot the led notification light. Then somebody holla "Dam!! Well there's space behind the speaker grill" lls
 
I actually like the LED exactly the way it is...in fact, if you offered me $1000 and a new phone to change where it is located now...and how it looks now...I would accept, but only after protesting mildly.
 
I don't mind the location but coming from my BB I'm missing the program "Berry Buzz" where you make it blink different colors for different alerts and control how fast it blinked and for how long and other variables.

I think we have run out of things to talk about on the Evo.

Someone.. HURRY!! Read the manual and find something new!!
In the meantime.. I did this comparison today.. My Evo vs the iPhone 4!! Stay tuned for my thread :D
