Love my Thrill! First time android user!

Love my thrill! First time I have switched my an iphone since the iphone has come out! The iphone has nothing on this phone. Do not understand why people are complaining about the battery live. My battery last longer on the Thrill then my iphone 4. Love the 3D and all features!

Welcome! The Thrill is my first Android phone as well and I'm loving it! I'm with everyone else though that has been getting 6 hours of battery right out of the box... But after a good amount of searching and installing a couple apps I've brought it up to last up to around 20 hours, which is good enough for me!

i learned from my samsung captivate that extra batteries should be bought for any android phone.

In my experience the battery needs some time to "warm up". The first time I fully charged my Thrill, the battery died over night. Now I have it on for more than two days and the battery is still at 70% (light use only, basically emails only + some browsing). No external apps used.

I couldn't tell you what threads/articles I was reading exactly, but basically if you just Google search "android ways to conserve battery" you'll find a bunch of those threads/articles that give you some tips. They basically all tell you to not use so many widgets, live wallpapers, and turn off wifi/auto-sync/gps/bluetooth when you're not using it (via the power widget). That's basically what I've been doing and it's been working fine enough for me.

Wifi does consume a lot of battery.

I've especially noticed that wifi usually takes up a lot of battery in apartment complexes where there are a lot of different networks floating around, in any device. I noticed this when my iPod touch would die completely within one night at my brother's apartment while it would usually last for at least a couple days at my own home.

Numerous wifi networks like that its probably always scanning.
