Help Love the Phone but Service not do good...

John Adams

Newbie
I'm on my third week of trial with AT&T coming from Verizon. Love the Galaxy S2 but lots of glitches in the service so far. One out of ten calls just don't connect. It just says "dialing" and does nothing. 5-10% of my texts "fail." I have to resend. And most annoying of all, even with a full signal the data stops working for several minutes at a time. I get the error message "no internet connection, Try again." Lastly, the occasional dropped call.

NONE of these things happened with Verizon, ever. At this point I am probably going back but would rather not because I love the phone!

I guess it depends on where you are. When I used to be on Verizon I had exactly the same problems you are experiencing. I also know people around here (MA) that have terrible luck with verizon.

ive never had a call or text not go through, rarely ill drop a call but its been awhile. im sure it depends on the location

It sounds like you have little to no coverage. NO PHONE is worth not having coverage. AT&T give you a trial period to bail out if you do not have coverage. You must do so BEFORE this time expires!

I can not remember having a dropped call on AT&T where I live and work, they have been great for me!

I have very few, if any issues with dropped calls or un-sent texts. I did, however, have this issue with my old iphone. They changed the sim card, and that seemed to fix the problem. You may want to try that. It sounds like your phone may have an antenna issue, and that should be noted before your trial period ends.

I have had pretty much the same experience. I left sprint when my job changed for ATT but found that the coverage wasn't that much better. Outside it was actually better in many places but in the places I worked ...nothing. so I ported my number again while in my trial to Verizon. So far it has been alot better. But I miss the gs2. That phone was damn near perfect
