Low Handset Volume

Hey guys, had this phone for about 6 months now, love it, especially since the radio fix. But one huge problem I have is in-call volume. Unless it's dead quiet I'm stuck having to use speaker phone always, tried the Hearing Aids mode but it just distorts instead of making anything louder.

It did function fine at first, so I'm guessing I just have a blown speaker. Is this something that I could just repair myself?

Otherwise how could I go about getting a replacement phone? Purchased it from Amazon, do I contact VM, Amazon or HTC?

With Virgin phones the warranty is through the vendor for the first 30 days and then directly through Virgin for the remainder of the year. Also just as an fyi, you don't have to put the phone back to stock, I've returned close to 10 rooted devices without any problems.
